About the Album

Sol de Medianoche is warm music with shadows in it. The album’s Havana night world could have become postcard color, but the better tracks keep the light low: balconies, sea air, smoke, and movement just slow enough to notice.

The Afro-Cuban jazz language is handled through rhythm first. Percussion gives the songs their body, while brass and piano add polish without making the record sterile. “Luna en la Habana,” “Oro en la Sombra,” and “Jardín de Humo” show how the album works: sensual, controlled, and slightly haunted.

What makes the record appealing is the balance between elegance and ache. It knows that midnight can make a city feel generous and lonely at the same time. Sol de Medianoche is not about escape from feeling. It is about dancing carefully with feeling still in the room.
